Finding a French restaurant in Edinburgh isn’t difficult – finding one that feels just like you’ve walked into your favourite restaurant in Paris is truly rare. So we had to have a Cafe St Honore review on Little Black Book Edinburgh.
Scottish Chef of the Year Neil Forbes offers fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Forbes comes from a family of chefs and the inspiration that drove him to where he is today originally came from his grandmother.
Passionate about his work, Forbes food uses the only the finest ingredients, some of which he sources from his own allotment. There are also regular events in the restaurants teaching you how to make your own delicious food at home.
That said, the focus of any Cafe St Honore review has to be the surroundings and ambiance. Tucked into a small corner of a cobbled lane just off George Street, the location could not be more Scottish, but somehow adds to the gallic charm of the experience, as well as the feeling that you’re uncovering a hidden gem. This is enhanced when you get inside what looks exactly like an authentic Parisian bistro – we can’t recommend the experience highly enough.
