Tonic is a lovely little independent bar tucked down a few steps on North Castle Street. They offer a personal approach to cocktail making, often using their own homemade ingredients.
As well as their cocktail list, the bar has a selection of beers and wines. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the clientelle tends to be in the 30 – 40 year old range, although younger crowds are sometimes around (often very public school).
This is one of a few bars in Edinburgh that has outside seating with enormous parasols and patio heaters.
