The day is not only informative, it’s also great fun. There are several sections covering all aspects of Scotch Whisky, and a mixture of hands on activities and different learning styles to impart the valuable knowledge in an entertaining and memorable way.
Participants will be welcomed for morning coffee in The World’s Largest Collection of Scotch Whisky, before being tutored on whisky production. After a mid-morning break (for delicious scones!) there’s a session on the difference between Scotch whisky and its fellow spirits, followed by a history of Scotland’s national drink, and a fun team quiz.
After a delicious lunch in the venue’s renowned restaurant ‘Amber’, it’s time for a tutored tasting, followed by the opportunity to mix single malt and grain whisky to create a personal blend! This is followed by a session on selling and serving Scotch whisky – ideal for industry professionals, but also fascinating for enthusiasts.
The day finishes with the tough part, the ‘Certificate of Expertise in the Sales and Service of Scotch Whisky’ examination! But never fear, the results of this 40-minute exam are totally private, and candidates are informed of the result and awarded their certificate by post.
You retain all the course materials for future reference, and take away your personal blend as a souvenir.
