Wine Tasting in Edinburgh: Hidden Treasures of South West France

Our guest wine expert Amy Hutchison of Bibo Wine & Events offers monthly tastings for all ages and abilities. Each month has a different theme with wonderful wines, delicious nibbles and the best of company. July’s theme is ‘Hidden Treasures of South West France’.
“If you like Bordeaux but not the prices, or simply love to discover new wines, then the South West region of France is for you.  Known as “France’s Hidden Corner”, this is an exciting region offering immense value and quality; with many similar varieties and styles to Bordeaux and also some wonderfully unique varieties and terroirs.
We will begin the evening with a glass of Cremant before embarking on a journey through the 4 key sub-regions tasting wines from Bergerac, Cahors, Madiran, Jurançon, Gaillac and ending our evening with the deliciously indulgent Monbazillac.”
Tickets cost £35 plus booking fee and include the usual glass of something sparkly on arrival, 6 wines and selection of French cheese and charcuterie. Space is limited, so we advise early booking.
