Comedy can be a very serious business, as there’s so much to choose from at this year’s Edinburgh Festival. Do you go with what and who you know, or do you take a chance with something different?
Reviews are always handy in helping steer you in the right direction, though, and over the past 2 years, ”The Gin Chronicles” have received 5-star & 4-star reviews across the board. Their Brand New Adventure, “The Gin Chronicles at Sea”, offers a growing fanbase of locals and tourists alike the chance to get their annual fix of fast-paced slapstick and merriment wrapped up in a charming vintage, radio-style comedy.
In this spiffing adventure, we see our hapless amateur detectives Jobling & Golightly sail to New York in a bid for relaxation only to discover treachery en route.
Audience reviews for this episode include:
5 STARS – “I’ve have seen all of the Gin Chronicles and thought this one was the best in story line and acting – I see there is a new cast and thought they were brilliant … the foley lady’s silent acting was great” – Carole, Edinburgh
5 STARS – “A great evening of entertainment. Cleverly written, superbly acted and very funny! Can’t recommend it enough, an evening guaranteed to lift your spirit!” – Kim, Musselburgh
5 STARS – “Robert Blackwood and the Misfits Of London have done it again!…we were in tears of laughter!” – Gareth, New York City
The show includes a complimentary Edinburgh Seaside Gin with Fentimans Pink Grapefruit Tonic Water. (Under 18s and teetotallers are offered the option of a Fentimans Soft Drink).
